SUSAN G. KOMEN WEST MICHIGAN GOES MOBILE FOR THE 17TH ANNUAL RACE FOR THE CURE

West Michigan- Susan G. Komen West Michigan will host their annual Race for the Cure® in downtown Grand Rapids on Saturday, September 6th at 9a.m. at Ah-Nab-Awen Park in downtown Grand Rapids. The Race for the Cure is returning to where it originally began over 17 years ago and for the first time, Race information is going mobile! 
    

The West Michigan Race for the Cure® has its very own app that can be found in the Android Marketplace and the Apple App Store by searching “Susan G. Komen West Michigan”. The App will feature the following: local maps of the area, schedules, public safety information, race registration, donations, highlighting our valued sponsors and much more.

 

     

Also joining this year’s Race for the Cure® is  Susan Ford Bales, daughter of President Gerald R. Ford and Betty Ford who will serve as the honorary race ambassador for the largest 5k run/fitness walk series in the world. Race activities and entertainment will span the Gerald R Ford Presidential Museum grounds, Ah-Nab –Awen Park and the Gillette Bridge with a starting line on Scribner Ave. The race will consist of a 5K run/walk and a one-mile community walk with funds raised benefiting local breast cancer awareness, education, and screening programs.
