jacAPPS announces iHeartMedia Chairman/CEO to Keynote Annual DASH Conference

BINGHAM FARMS, MI - Bob Pittman, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of iHeartMedia, Inc. will be the keynote speaker at this year's DASH Conference, which will be held on November 4-5 in Detroit, MI. Pittman leads America's largest broadcast radio company and its mobile and automotive strategies through the iHeartRadio digital service. As the creator of MTV in the 80s and the President of America Online in the 90s - and as an investor in many new and established new and traditional media, entertainment and service companies, such as OTX, the first major online research company (Now a part of IPSOS), Barrington Broadcasting, Daily Candy, Thrillist, Zynga, Stereogum, and Facebook - Pittman has the unique perspective of someone who has seen the emergence of new consumer media platforms and industries, and how successful businesses can navigate these changes.

iHeartRadio is the No. 1 all-in-one digital audio service with over 600 million downloads; it reached its first 20 million registered users faster than any digital service in Internet history and aggregated 70 million users faster than any other radio or digital music service and even faster than Facebook. The company's focus on the automotive industry has paid off, as in addition to its focus on AM/FM radio in the car, the iHeartRadio app is currently available in the connected car dashboards of most major automotive companies.

"When we first launched DASH three years ago, our mission was to bring together leaders from broadcasting and automotive at the highest levels," Jacobs media President Fred Jacobs comments. "Bob is truly the most powerful person in radio, and his appearance at DASH underscores the importance of radio across every platform, from AM/FM broadcast radio in the dash to the 'connected car' - as well as this conference."

"Radio is unequalled in terms of its importance to the consumer, and nowhere more than in the car," said Pittman. "The first thing most people do when they get into the car is turn on the radio - because our personalities are your trusted best friends sitting enxt to you, providing the entertainment and information you need throughout your day. And with the growth of the digital dash, we have even more opportunities to make radio available where our consumers want to find it."

Eric Rhoads, Chairman/Publisher of Radio Ink added, "Bob Pittman is not only the great evangelist of radio, but he is also leading the radio industry into the future. We are honored to have him present his compelling and thought provoking vision to DASH attendees."

The DASH Conference takes place November 4-5 at the Westin Hotel in the Detroit Metropolitan Airport. Information about registration and the conference agenda can be found at www.DASHConference.com.

About The DASH Conference - In 2013, Jacobs media and Radio Ink created The DASH Conference. REcognizing that entertainment systems in cars were evolving and the potential impact on broadcasters was significant, the conference was designed to bring together leaders from the radio and automotive industries to share insights into this evolution and identify areas for collaboration. The 2015 conference features presentations ranging from car companies to car dealers, focusing on how broadcasters and the automotive industry can identify areas to grow their businesses.
