SXSWfm Goes Mobile

jacAPPS Develops The Official App for SXSW Radio

Bingham Farms, Michigan - The most iconic music event in the United States has selected Michigan-based mobile app developer, jacAPPS, to create apps for its official online radio channel, SXSWfm.  Available in both the iTunes Store and Google Play Market, the application provides a world of music discovery from the artists that perform at the iconic annual music festival in Austin, Texas.

Designed to delight and engage music lovers worldwide, the app features a 24-hour audio stream, along with podcasts from its unique specialty programs, including Backbeat (Indie Rock), Chronolog (featuring bands from Austin and the local region), Tha Fixx (Hip-Hop), Floored (electronic dance music), and Americana.  The app also provides playlists of songs from featured artists and other unique SXSW content that can be shared and enjoyed by both attendees and those who wish they were there.

"While we've built apps for many great brands and events, being selected by SXSWfm to build their radio app is a huge honor," jcAPPS COO Bob Kernen enthused.  "We're all music lovers here and the opportunity to be a part of this was a real thrill for us."

Ron Suman, Marketing Manager of SXSW remarks, "Working with jcAPPS to develop and deliver the apps has been a seamless and efficient process. The end result is a beautiful, fully functional app that we're proud to offer SXSW attendees and fans."
